Ba Ria - Vung Tau plans to organize the National Kite Art Festival on the occasion of the April 30 - May 1 holiday, expected to attract hundreds of artisans to perform.

On April 2, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that it had planned to organize the National Art and Dime Festival 2025 in Vung Tau City.

The 2025 National Art Kite Festival will have the theme " use of the sound of music - The beat of the wind", scheduled to take place at the Cot Co Park area, and along Thuy Van beach ( Bai Sau), Vung Tau City from May 1 to May 3.

It is expected that about 30-40 kite clubs nationwide will attend the festival, with about 200-250 artificials releasing kites of all kinds such as: giant kites (10m-60m); LED kites, kites and destroyer kites...

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau, this is an important cultural activity, part of a series of practical events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30.

The event contributes to promoting the image of Ba Ria - Vung Tau tourism; creating opportunities for cultural exchange between dyke artisans nationwide and internationally. At the same time, it attracts tourists and the community that is passionate about storks, stimulates tourism, and develops the local economy.

Ms. Tran Thi Thu Hien - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism - said that the locality will focus on implementing, aiming to build a national artistic kite festival brand, contributing to preserving folk culture.

In the coming time, the locality plans to develop the kite festival into an annual event, increase tourism products, contribute to raising its position, making Vung Tau a high-quality, international-class tourism center in the near future.
