On March 28, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province organized the Bac Ninh Tourism Destination Promotion Conference in 2026.
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director of Bac Ninh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Do Tuan Khoa affirmed: With the advantages of a rich cultural heritage system, favorable geographical location and increasingly complete infrastructure, Bac Ninh is focusing on developing unique tourism products, promoting regional linkages, and at the same time strengthening promotion and advertising in a professional and modern direction.
On the basis of the positive growth of 2025 with 6.3 million visitors, Bac Ninh sets a target for 2026 to welcome about 6.5-7 million visitors, including about 420,000 international visitors; total tourism revenue is expected to reach about 6,600 billion VND, continuing to affirm the destination position of the Capital region.
To achieve these goals, Bac Ninh province orients the synchronous development of key product lines such as cultural - spiritual - festival tourism; craft village and intangible heritage tourism; eco-community tourism; MICE tourism (a type of tourism combined with seminars, conferences, commendations, events) and night economy associated with Kinh Bac cultural experience.
Speaking at the Conference, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Ha Van Sieu assessed that Bac Ninh is identified as having a great advantage in cultural resources, notably Quan Ho folk songs, historical sites, festivals and traditional craft villages.
However, local tourism still has limitations such as: products lack highlights, the ability to attract high-spending customers is still limited, infrastructure and services are not synchronized, and promotion and investment attraction work needs to be further promoted.
On that basis, the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism proposed that Bac Ninh needs to innovate development thinking, build a tourism ecosystem associated with cultural values, promote professional promotion, apply digital technology and position the destination brand.
At the same time, the locality needs to improve the mechanism, mobilize social resources, and develop high-quality human resources. The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism is committed to continuing to accompany and support Bac Ninh in developing tourism quickly and sustainably.
