On October 14, the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Museum - Library (HCMC Department of Culture and Sports) announced the temporary suspension of sightseeing activities at the Con Dao Museum in the coming time.
From 7:00 a.m. on October 20, 2025, the Con Dao Museum (special of Con Dao area) will stop receiving visitors until it is announced to resume operations. The reason is the implementation of a project to repair and restore some items.
Previously, in May 2025, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province previously issued a decision approving the project to repair and restore items at the Con Dao Museum. Up to now, the unit is preparing to implement the projects.
This repair aims to ensure the safety of the project, while upgrading the exhibition space, preserving artifacts and improving the experience of visitors in the coming time.
