Thanks to the attraction from the Big Bang concert in October, Hanoi's travel searches increased sharply 4 times compared to normal.

On July 15, YG Entertainment announced the official poster for Big Bang's world tour titled BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR 'XX: COSMOS' on the company's media platforms.

According to the schedule, the group will perform at My Dinh Stadium (Hanoi) on two nights, October 24 and 25. This information quickly stirred up the Vietnamese fan community.

On social networking platforms, many viewers shared their excitement, showed off successful tickets and started counting down to the day they would meet the famous K-pop idols.

The appearance of international artists in Vietnam not only creates attraction in the entertainment sector but also contributes to stimulating domestic tourism demand.

Every time large-scale concerts take place, the number of people searching for information about destinations, accommodation and transportation increases significantly as fans from many localities plan to attend.

According to statistics from Traveloka, Big Bang's concert in Hanoi helped domestic travel searches increase more than four times compared to normal levels.

Meanwhile, EXO's concert in Ho Chi Minh City also recorded nearly three times more searches, showing the great influence of international music events on the tourism industry.

Hanoi tourism continued to maintain positive growth momentum in the first half of 2026 with about 18.01 million visitors, an increase of 15.7% compared to the same period last year.

In which, international visitors reached 4.64 million, an increase of 26.8%, contributing to bringing total tourism revenue to about 74.23 trillion VND, an increase of 19.1%.

Besides traditional tourism products, the trend of music tourism is emerging as a new driving force when concerts of international stars such as Big Bang and Blackpink attract tens of thousands of spectators.

Not only boosting the travel demand of young people, especially Gen Z and Millennials, these events also help increase hotel room occupancy, revenue from accommodation, dining and shopping services, creating a significant boost for the tourism industry and local economy.

Previously, Blackpink's Born Pink concert in Hanoi at the end of July 2023 was considered a milestone opening up a wave of music tourism in Vietnam. In just two nights of performances on July 29 and 30, the event attracted more than 170,000 visitors, bringing in estimated revenue of about 630 billion VND.

The effect from Blackpink strongly spread to the tourism industry when hotel room occupancy, especially around the My Dinh area, increased sharply, contributing to bringing the average occupancy rate of Hanoi's hotel block to about 60.8%.

In addition, the fields of aviation, transportation, food, shopping and entertainment services also recorded significant growth, showing the great influence of international music events on the economy and tourism of the Capital.

The Big Bang concert is expected to bring in large revenue for Hanoi tourism, possibly surpassing Blackpink in 2023.
