The content of the official dispatch from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism clearly states that on August 9, 2024, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung issued Decisions announcing the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List for 15 heritage records. Including, Nam Dinh Pho folk knowledge, Nam Dinh province (Decision No. 2326/QD-BVHTTDL); Folk knowledge of Quang Noodles, Quang Nam province (Decision No. 2327/QD-BVHTTDL) and Folk knowledge of Hanoi Pho, Hanoi City (Decision No. 2328/QD-BVHTTDL).
The above decisions were positively responded by the People's Committees of provinces, cities, and heritage representative communities as a measure to encourage the community to continue preserving, maintaining, practicing and promoting the quintessence of the craft.
In recent days, some social network forums have posted distorted information, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 3737/QD-BVHTTDL dated August 9, 2024 on announcing the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage and Eel porridge in Nghe An province is included in this list.
Especially in Article 4, the fake document states that the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province is assigned to implement the decision. Since then, many conflicting opinions have also pointed out that the details of this fake document were edited because it is impossible to make a decision to recognize a dish from one province but assign it to another province to implement.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this is false information, negatively affecting the reputation of the ministry and Minister Nguyen Van Hung personally, and should be handled according to the provisions of law.
