These days, farmers in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu city (Ninh Binh) are focusing on taking care of Tam Coc rice fields, so that the rice is golden ripe at the right time of Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025, which will be held at the end of May.
This year, at the famous Tam Coc rice field in Ninh Binh, on a 10,000m2 plot of rice fields, rice growers create a folk painting "The Clap Over the balance of the Sea". This is a unique tourism product to welcome Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2025 with the theme "Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An".
The painting "Chap vu ngan choreography" is considered a symbol of perseverance, creativity and efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges. In addition, carp is also considered a symbol of longevity and luck in the daily life of the people.
Local people want to renew the artistic form on rice fields but still ensure folk elements, close to the typical rice farmers in the Northern region in general and in Ninh Binh in particular.
Currently, rice plants are in the stage of strong growth, branching and preparing for the harvest period. Farmers are planting rice and will fertilize it to develop rice, bear branches, creating a picture of the most colorful, complete and sharp.
To complete the painting, farmers have to spend a lot of effort and passion from shaping, growing rice, taking care of... This year's painting "Chap Than Thanh Hoc" has many complicated details, mixed with color, requiring rice planting according to instructions, the rice development process must be pruning, timely care and editing.
The rice variety chosen to create the picture is Thai Xuyen rice with the characteristics of a hard plant, resistant to pests and diseases, suitable for the local soil. People are supported with all rice varieties, fertilizers and instructions on how to care for and prevent pests and diseases, ensuring the ripe and most beautiful rice.
The rice fields in Tam Coc are famous as one of the 5 most beautiful rice fields in Vietnam (over 18ha area), winding along the Ngo Dong river, located entirely in the core area of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex - World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
