In harmony with the heroic atmosphere of the historic autumn days, the whole country is looking towards the important event: Commemorating the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).
This year, in harmony with the joyful and proud atmosphere of the nation; many cities and provinces have announced detailed plans on the time and location of fireworks displays and a series of unique cultural and artistic events to welcome people and tourists.
Hanoi
According to Plan No. 330/KH-UBND dated August 22, 2026 of Hanoi City People's Committee, Hanoi will organize high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays at 5 key locations directly implemented by the Capital High Command.
Fireworks positions are arranged in central and gateway areas, including: In front of the Hanoi Newspaper Editorial Office, in front of Hanoi Post Office (Hoan Kiem ward); Coconut Island in Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung ward); F1 racetrack in the National Sports Complex (Tu Liem ward); and Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho ward).

Fireworks display time is from 9:00 PM - 9:15 PM on September 2, 2026. To have the most complete fireworks viewing experience, people and tourists can choose streets around Hoan Kiem Lake, along the West Lake road or airy space at Thong Nhat Park. Tourists should also proactively move early to limit being affected by traffic congestion.
In addition to fireworks displays, Hanoi also brings a series of colorful art programs taking place throughout from August 26 to September 2. Prominent are large-scale art programs performed by the Hanoi Cheo Theater in the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden area (September 1 and September 2, 2017), programs of Thang Long Music and Dance Theater (August 31), and quality plays such as "The Charm of Cheo Hanoi" (August 26) or "Hanoi Stories - A Very Hanoi Day" (August 29).
Historical relics such as Hoa Lo Prison, Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam also organize many experiential activities, exhibitions and exchanges to promote heritage, attracting a large number of publics.
Ninh Binh
In the Times Square area (Ha Nam ward, Ninh Binh province), visitors will have the opportunity to admire brilliant fireworks at 9:30 PM on two evenings, August 29th and September 2nd, 2026. On September 2nd, the fireworks display will last up to 07 minutes, combined with music and a water music show to create an entertainment space to serve people and tourists during the National Day.
Right next to it is a large-scale water music show, stretching along the festival avenue next to Vua Le canal, with a system of more than 5,000 nozzles and thousands of LED lights. Prominent in the middle of the square is the 32m high Doi Tam drum symbol inspired by Ha Nam cultural heritage. This is also a check-in point chosen by many tourists after enjoying fireworks.
Thai Nguyen
Thai Nguyen province organizes a series of commemorative activities with the highlight being high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays in Phan Dinh Phung and Bac Kan wards. Up to now, the fireworks display time has not been announced; the specific time and plan will be announced by the local government later according to the official plan from the local government to ensure absolute safety during the event.
Accompanying exhibition and mass art activities also attract a large number of compatriots and people to participate, creating a atmosphere of solidarity and warmth.
Quang Ninh
As part of the "Welcome New City" Tourism Stimulus Week, the "Prosperous Trade Port" program will take place in the Ngon Hai Dang area, Bai Chay, Quang Ninh province. Here, the Ha Long trade port space will be recreated using 3D mapping projection technology, music and lighting.
Notably, after each screening is an art fireworks display. According to the plan, fireworks display activities will take place regularly at 9:45 PM on weekdays, and on weekends, additional performances will be increased at 8:45 PM to meet the sightseeing demand.
Especially, on the 2nd of September holiday, the locality will bring a special art fireworks program, promising to create an impressive highlight for tourists when coming to the coastal city.
Hai Phong
Fireworks will be set off at Cat Ba Bay Center at 9:45 PM, lasting from the evening of August 29, August 30, September 1 and September 2, 2026. For a duration of less than 15 minutes, visitors can watch completely free of charge.

According to Hai Phong City People's Committee, the organization of fireworks displays is expected to become a highlight in the tourism activities of 2026, thereby contributing to promoting service and tourism industries in Cat Hai Special Zone in particular and Hai Phong City in general.
Thanh Hoa
Towards the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, Thanh Hoa province is expected to organize fireworks displays on the evening of September 2, 2026 at Sam Son Sea Square and Lam Son Square. Fireworks are set off from 9:15 PM to 9:30 PM, lasting 15 minutes at each point.
At the program, there were art performances and heroic revolutionary music performances praising the homeland, country, honoring heroic traditions and strong innovation of the land to serve tourists.
Phu Quoc
Phu Quoc brings a unique experience with two high-altitude fireworks performances each night in Sunset Town in two shows "Symphony of the Sea" taking place at 7:45 PM and "Kiss of the Sea" at 9:00 PM.
Notably, during this September 2nd holiday, audiences will be able to admire brilliant fireworks combined with images of the Vietnamese National Flag on a large water screen lasting 5 minutes after the show "Kiss of the Sea" ends.
Tourists should book tickets through the official website or Sun World's application, and carefully check the performance date, time frame and refund and exchange policy before paying.
Ho Chi Minh City
According to the decision dated August 10, 2026 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the September 2, 2026 holiday will witness a large-scale fireworks display with a total of 7 firing points taking place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM.
The event is divided into 3 high-altitude combined low-altitude shooting points and 4 low-altitude shooting points to spread the festival atmosphere throughout the city. In which, the Saigon River tunnel area plays the role of the focal point with the largest scale, using 1,000 high-altitude fireworks, 200 low-altitude fireworks and dozens of modern effects rigs.
In addition, art performances, exhibitions and exciting sports events are also organized in central districts, creating a jubilant and complete atmosphere of Southern affection.
At the same time, Vung Tau (Ho Chi Minh City) will also have 2 high-altitude fireworks nights organized to serve people and tourists at 9 pm on September 2. The program takes place in 15 minutes at Tam Thang Tower Square area (Vung Tau ward), Sun World Water Park Vung Tau (Phuoc Thang ward) with 420 high-altitude fireworks, 80 low-altitude fireworks and 60 low-altitude fireworks displays.
