Free admission points on Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day

On the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23, 2005 - November 23, 2024), many tourist attractions and relics across the country offer free admission.

On Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, November 23, some destinations offer free admission.

In Hanoi, the special national relics of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam; Hoa Lo Prison historical relic; Thang Long Imperial Citadel; and Co Loa relic site are open free of charge to all visitors on November 23.

In particular, at Thang Long Imperial Citadel, visitors can watch water puppet shows at 9:00, 10:00, 15:00 and 16:00.

At the Hanoi Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center (50 Dao Duy Tu), the exhibition "Dong Ta" will take place to introduce the history of Dong Son culture and the traditional bronze casting craft. On the evening of November 23, this space will resound with unique melodies in a traditional heritage concert performed by the Dong Kinh Co Nhac Group and Hue Royal Court Music.

On this occasion, at the Heritage House 87 Ma May, visitors can visit the space introducing Vietnamese Tea art by artisan Nguyen Cao Son on November 22-23.

In Thanh Hoa, the World Cultural Heritage Citadel of the Ho Dynasty welcomes visitors free of charge.

Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City Museum announced free admission for all Vietnamese tourists on November 23.

On February 24, 2005, the Prime Minister signed a Decision to designate November 23 as “Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day”. The purpose of creating this day is to promote the tradition and sense of responsibility of those working to protect and promote the values ​​of Vietnam’s cultural heritage; to encourage all social classes to actively participate in the cause of protecting and promoting the values ​​of national cultural heritage.

This is also an opportunity to inspire and educate the tradition of patriotism, national pride, and sense of responsibility to protect cultural heritage among the entire population.

Every year, on this day, heritage attractions across the country often organize free admission activities, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate and visit. This year in particular, Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day is also the occasion to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association (2004 - 2024).

Organizing these activities not only promotes the propaganda and promotion of the heritage image to domestic and international friends; but also contributes to raising the sense of responsibility of the community for the cause of preserving cultural heritage and developing sustainable tourism; thereby enhancing the attractiveness of Vietnam's cultural heritage, attracting tourists to visit the heritage in the future.
