On the afternoon of June 17, while cleaning the dining table, Ms. Hoang Thi Cat Anh (30 years old, Hue) suddenly realized that a customer had forgotten his passport at his coffee shop. Because she has been in the tourism service sector for a long time, Ms. Cat Anh is quite familiar with cases like this. Therefore, she calmly waited to see if this customer would return to the restaurant.
She said: "Because my coffee shop is near the Hue Imperial Citadel tourist destination, many customers come to rest, have meals and accidentally forget important items. However, because I waited for a long time without seeing customers return to find passports, I decided to post this information on a group for tourists coming to Vietnam in the hope of soon finding its owner".
After Ms. Cat Anh's article was published, many people re-shared the article as well as supported her in reviewing the tourist attractions or hotels where the guest named in the passport may be staying. Luckily, the coffee shop owner in Hue later received a call from a foreign guest - the owner of the forgotten passport.
Talking to Lao Dong, Ms. Hong Hee Jeon (26 years old, Korea) said: "I went to eat at the restaurant at 1pm and left at 3pm. When I was at the restaurant, because I wanted to book more tours, I took my passport out of my pocket to fill in my personal information. However, I forgot to put it in my bag. 30 minutes before boarding the train to Da Nang, after finishing a short tour of Hue Imperial City, I realized that my passport was 'no wings but could fly'.
"At that time, the feeling that overflowed my heart was despair and fear. Without a passport, I will not be able to return to Korea according to the schedule. I also felt guilty towards my sister, the person accompanying me on the trip," the female tourist from the land of kimchi recounted.
Hee Joen decided to abandon the train ticket she had purchased to find a passport and take another trip to Da Nang. Recalling her journey, the female tourist must have forgotten her passport at the coffee shop, so she looked up her phone number to call immediately.
After contacting the coffee shop owner, Hong Hee Jeon received the passport and continued her vacation to Da Nang safely. That moment was truly unforgettable for the female tourist.
Her trip to Vietnam this time started from June 15-24 and then passed through 3 famous destinations in the Central region, from Hue to Da Nang, Hoi An. This is the second time a female tourist has come to Vietnam.
She expressed: "The people here are really kind. Each city is unique and beautiful. I look forward to going to Hoi An soon. The ancient capital of Hue is beautiful, and I am especially attracted by the diversity and deliciousness of traditional dishes, beyond my expectations. I really like banh khoai and bun bo Hue. It's interesting to see people here riding motorbikes everywhere."
