To celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), the city plans to arrange 8 fireworks display locations, combining high-altitude and low-altitude battlefields.
Among them, 3 high-altitude fireworks display locations are located in locations with large spaces and open views, including:
- Saigon River tunnel head area (An Khanh ward).
- New city center (Binh Duong ward).
- Ba Ria Park Square (Ba Ria ward).
In addition, 5 low-altitude fireworks display points are deployed in many areas including:
- Cu Chi tunnels (An Nhon Tay commune).
- Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward).
- Saigon Marina IFC tower area (Saigon ward).
- Kim Long villa area (Nha Be district) and Can Gio sea encroachment tourist urban area.
The allocation of many fireworks display points throughout the city aims to reduce the pressure of crowded gatherings in the central area, while creating favorable conditions for people in different areas to watch.
According to the plan, the fireworks display time will take place from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on April 30, 2026. The point in Can Gio sea encroachment tourist urban area lasts about 5 minutes, from 9:00 PM to 9:05 PM.
In addition to fireworks displays, the city also organizes a series of cultural, artistic and sports activities to serve people during the holiday. From the evening of April 29, many performance programs will take place in public spaces such as Nguyen Hue pedestrian street, square and large park, combined with live television.
Fun and entertainment activities continue to be maintained for two days, April 30 and May 1, creating a festive atmosphere throughout the holiday, contributing to attracting tourists and highlighting the dynamic urban image of the city.
People and tourists when going to watch fireworks in Ho Chi Minh City should proactively come early to choose a suitable location, avoid moving during peak hours that are prone to congestion. Prioritize using public transport or parking in permitted areas, limit stopping and parking on prohibited roads. When watching fireworks, it is necessary to follow the instructions of functional forces, do not jostle or push and especially do not gather on bridges to ensure safety for themselves and the community.
