To celebrate the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks displays at 8 locations throughout the area, combining high-altitude and low-altitude battlefields.
According to the plan, the city arranges 3 high-altitude fireworks display points in areas with large spaces and open views, including:
- Saigon River tunnel head area (An Khanh ward)
- New city center (Binh Duong ward)
- Ba Ria Park Square (Ba Ria ward)
In addition, 5 low-altitude fireworks display points are deployed in many different areas, including:
- Cu Chi tunnels (An Nhon Tay commune)
- Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward)
- Saigon Marina IFC tower area (Saigon ward)
- Kim Long villa area (Nha Be district)
- Can Gio sea encroachment tourist urban area

The allocation of many fireworks display points helps people in different districts and towns to access conveniently, limiting the situation of large concentrations in the central area.
The fireworks display time is set from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on April 30, 2026. The point at Can Gio sea encroachment tourist urban area will take place in about 5 minutes, from 9:00 PM to 9:05 PM.
Not only stopping at lighting performances, Ho Chi Minh City also organizes a series of cultural, artistic and sports activities during the holiday.
From the evening of April 29, many performances will take place in public spaces such as Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, squares and large parks, combined with live television to serve people.
Fun and entertainment activities continue to be maintained on April 30 and May 1, creating a series of events that last throughout the holiday.
With a wide network of fireworks display locations and many accompanying activities, Ho Chi Minh City expects to bring a vibrant festival atmosphere, contributing to attracting tourists and creating highlights for urban tourism on April 30th this year.
