Towards the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026), many localities have announced plans to set off fireworks and organize a series of cultural and artistic activities during the holidays.
Hanoi
According to Plan No. 330/KH-UBND dated August 22nd, 2026 of the Hanoi City People's Committee, the city organizes high-altitude fireworks displays combined with low-altitude fireworks at 5 locations from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2nd.
The battlefields are located at: in front of the Hanoi Newspaper Editorial Office, in front of Hanoi Post Office (Hoan Kiem ward); Coconut Island in Thong Nhat Park (Hai Ba Trung ward); F1 racetrack belonging to the National Sports Complex (Tu Liem ward) and Lac Long Quan Flower Garden (Tay Ho ward).
Besides fireworks, Hanoi organizes many art programs from August 26 to September 2, along with experiential activities, exhibitions, and exchanges at Hoa Lo Prison, Ngoc Son Temple, Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam.
Cao Bang
Cao Bang province has planned to organize a special art program to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).
The fireworks display schedule will take place from about 8 pm to 10 pm on September 1, 2026 at Pac Bo Square, Thuc Phan ward, Cao Bang province.
Ninh Binh
At Times Square (Ha Nam ward), fireworks will be held at 9:30 PM on August 29th and September 2nd. On the evening of September 2nd, the performance lasts 7 minutes, combining music and a water music show.
This area also has a water music show along the festival avenue next to Vua Le canal with more than 5,000 fountains and thousands of LED lights. The 32m high Doi Tam drum symbol is also a highlight attracting tourists.
Thai Nguyen
Thai Nguyen organizes high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks displays in Phan Dinh Phung and Bac Kan wards in a series of National Day celebration activities.
The fireworks display time has not been announced. The specific time and organization plan will be announced by the locality according to the official plan.
Quang Ninh
During the "Welcome New City" Tourism Stimulus Week, the "Prosperous Trade Port" program takes place in the Ngon Hai Dang, Bai Chay area, combining 3D mapping, music, lighting and artistic fireworks displays.
Projection and fireworks screenings are held at 9:45 PM on weekdays, weekends have additional screenings at 8:45 PM. On September 2nd, the art fireworks program is organized on a special scale.
Hai Phong
At the Cat Ba Bay Center, fireworks will be set off at 9:45 pm on the evenings of August 29, August 30, September 1 and September 2, 2026. Each performance lasts less than 15 minutes and people and tourists can watch it for free.
This activity is part of a series of tourism programs in Cat Hai Special Zone, contributing to creating more entertainment highlights during the National Day holiday.
Thanh Hoa
Thanh Hoa is expected to set off fireworks on the evening of September 1st at Sam Son Sea Square and Lam Son Square. The firing time is from 9:15 PM to 9:30 PM, lasting 15 minutes at each point.
Along with fireworks are art programs, revolutionary music with content praising the homeland, country and the innovation achievements of the locality.
Quang Tri
In Quang Tri, a low-altitude fireworks display program to celebrate National Day September 2nd was held at Hoang Van beach, opposite Bao Ninh 1 Urban Area (Regal Legend), Vo Nguyen Giap street, Dong Hoi ward.
The fireworks display takes place from 9:00 PM to 9:10 PM on September 2nd, with 20 low-altitude fireworks displays. The activity contributes to creating more entertainment spots to serve people and tourists during the holidays.
Dong Nai
In Dong Nai, Dong Nai city organizes fireworks displays at 2 locations during National Day 2. 9. The activity is part of a series of cultural and artistic programs to celebrate the 81st anniversary of National Day, serving people and tourists during the holidays.
High-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display locations are in the Dong Nai riverside road area (Tran Bien ward) and Dai Phuoc commune area. Time from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2, 2026.
Phu Quoc
In Sunset Town, visitors can watch high-altitude fireworks in two shows "Symphony of the Sea" at 7:45 PM and "Kiss of the Sea" at 9 PM.
Especially on National Day, after the show "Kiss of the Sea", audiences watched a 5-minute fireworks display combined with the image of the Vietnamese National Flag on a large water screen.
Ho Chi Minh City
According to the decision dated August 10, 2026 of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the city organizes fireworks displays at 7 locations from 9:00 PM to 9:15 PM on September 2, including 3 high-altitude combined low-altitude locations and 4 low-altitude locations.
High-altitude and low-altitude fireworks locations (3 locations) include: Saigon River tunnel entrance area (An Khanh ward); New City Center area (Binh Duong ward) and Tam Thang Tower Square (Vung Tau ward).
Low-altitude fireworks locations (4 locations) include: Ba Ria Square Park (Ba Ria ward); Dam Sen Cultural Park (Binh Thoi ward); Saigon Marina IFC Tower (Sai Gon ward); Kim Long villa area - Rach Dia bridge area (Nha Be commune).
In which, the area at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel is the largest scale firing point, with 1,000 high-altitude fireworks, 200 low-altitude fireworks and many effect systems.
With many shooting spots stretching from North to South, National Day 2 holiday in recent years has brought more entertainment, sightseeing and experience options for people, while creating attraction for domestic tourist destinations.
