Dak Lak - Affected by storm No. 13 Kalmaegi, the Ong Cop wooden bridge about 800m long was collapsed and completely washed away.

Ong Cop Bridge - the longest wooden bridge in Vietnam - crosses the Binh Ba River in Tuy An District, Phu Yen Province, now Tuy An Dong Commune, Dak Lak Province. After storm No. 13 Kalmaegi last weekend, the river water rose and flowed strongly, sweeping away the wooden bridge with only a few piers emerging.

Ong Cop wooden bridge is also known as Ong Cop bridge, Ong Cop Temple wooden bridge, 800 m long, about 2 m wide. The bridge was built entirely with wood (bamboo, eucalyptus, acacia) for the first time in 1998, helping people on both sides of the bridge shorten about 10 km compared to other roads.

The bridge and the toll station at the bridgehead are projects contributed by local people. With nearly 30 years of existence, Ong Cop wooden bridge has been damaged many times due to weather.

After each time, the construction and repair are also done by the people. The bridge is expected to be started and rebuilt and completed in early 2026.
