On August 4, information from the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said that Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ta Anh Tuan had just led a working group to conduct a field survey at the Cau Treo Buon Don - Lang Dao tourist area (Buon Don commune).
This is one of the province's outstanding destinations, considered an important highlight in the orientation of developing green and sustainable tourism.
Currently, the tourist management unit is coordinating with Yok Don National Park to expand the sightseeing route for the Hop forest and Serepok river, while promoting natural ecosystem conservation activities.
One of the highlights is the orientation to develop a "responsible elephant" tourism model, gradually replacing elephant riding with educational activities, caring for and interacting with elephants in a close and humane environment.
The tourist area is also building a multi-layered community tourism ecosystem, in which local people not only play the role of storytelling but also are direct partners benefiting from local cultural values.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the infrastructure and service quality in the tourist area, and at the same time suggested that the unit continue to improve business efficiency, promote local cultural identity to domestic and foreign tourists.
The survey aims to assess the current status and development potential of the tourist area, demonstrating the interest of the provincial leaders in the eco-tourism, community and cultural model.
