The Hanoi tourism industry will introduce typical tourism products to aim to welcome 31 million tourists, including about 7.5 million international visitors.

Growth target

In 2025, the Hanoi tourism industry aims to grow by 11.2% in the number of visitors compared to 2024; total revenue from tourism is estimated at 130,000 billion VND.

Ms. Dang Huong Giang - Director of Hanoi Department of Tourism - said that in March, the capital's tourism industry will develop a plan to organize the opening and launch of new tourism products: Experience tourism products associated with heritage - relic values at Ha Mo tourist destination, Dan Phuong district; the tourist route "Nam Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Road" in the districts of Thanh Tri, Thuong Tin, Phu Xuyen; Community tourism model associated with practical experiences of traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in An Phu commune, My Duc district; rural agricultural tourism model in Tich Thang commune, Phuc district.

According to the plan, the Hanoi tourism industry will introduce two cultural tourism routes connecting to the South and West of the city, launching a community tourism destination in My Duc district and deploying a number of agricultural and rural tourism models and night tourism products.

Hanoi will continue to develop new tourism products in areas with potential and advantages, including adventure sports tourism, experiential tourism, Red River tourism, helicopter tourism, hot air balloon flying and virtual reality tourism.

Increasing the experience for tourists

Ms. Le Thanh Thao - President of Hanoi Travel Association said that 2025 marks an important period for Hanoi tourism in particular and Vietnam tourism in general.

With the goal of promoting sustainable development and improving competitiveness, Hanoi Travel Association will focus on a number of key areas such as expanding the inbound and outbound markets, applying technology and digital transformation, developing sustainable tourism products; enhancing trade promotion and international cooperation.

We will strengthen connectivity with key markets such as China, South Korea, Japan, Europe and the US. At the same time, the development of Hanoi's typical tourism products such as cultural tourism, green tourism and MICE tourism will be focused on to create a unique mark and attract international tourists".

Public units are also making a change when combining with private enterprises to create products for tourism.

Most recently, Cai Luong Hanoi Theater introduced the program "Cai Luong - The quintessence of Vietnamese art" at the Golden bell Theater in March. Visitors to this 100 year old theater can enjoy special cai luong plays, elaborate stages, and recreate classic scenes and melodies. At the same time, the art space of "Touching" displayed right at the cinema will bring knowledge and opportunities for close contact with traditional Vietnamese cai luong art.

Mr. Pham Ba Chinh - Director of Cai Luong Theater Hanoi - said: "The program is not only an entertainment event, but also an opportunity for visitors to explore and understand more deeply about the history, culture and soul of Vietnamese people through art performances. This event aims to introduce and promote Cai Luong art - a unique traditional performance of Vietnam to domestic and international audiences.

Not only tourists in general, the theater's new products are also aimed at young people, providing space for younger generations to "touch" traditional art, approaching cai luong - an art form that has not yet been interested and popular in the North.

Commenting on the new product, the company assessed that the experiences in the program can bring unique experiences to domestic and international tourists, especially in the space of a French-style theater in the heart of the old town. Operating the program regularly can take advantage of the space of the theater, in addition to bringing the performing arts genre closer to the public.
