According to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on the occasion of the 81st National Day September 2nd, the city organizes fireworks displays at 5 locations: In front of the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Headquarters, Hoan Kiem ward; in front of Hanoi Post Office, Hoan Kiem ward; Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung ward; F1 racetrack, National Sports Complex, Tu Liem ward; Lac Long Quan flower garden, Tay Ho ward.
Along with that are art programs in Hoan Kiem ward, Dan Phuong commune, Minh Chau commune, Phuc Son commune, Bat Trang commune, Dai Xuyen commune, Hoa Lac commune...

- August 26: "The Charm of Hanoi Cheo" program at Dai Nam Theater, No. 89 Pho Hue Street, Hai Ba Trung Ward, performed by Hanoi Cheo Theater.
- August 29: Program "Hanoi Stories - A Very Hanoi Day" at 31-33 Luong Van Can, Hoan Kiem ward, performed by Thang Long Music and Dance Theater.
