According to the Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the days of the Thang Long - Hanoi Festival, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam will become a diverse cultural space, where heritage values are accessed not only through displays but also through experiences, interactions and art.
The journey begins with "Hanoi Flavor - Hanoi Story Through Ao Dai", taking place from 9:00 AM on September 11th at Ho Van. From Ao Dai, the exhibition tells the story of Hanoi through the changes of costumes, aesthetic style and urban life through each period.
The highlight of the space is nearly 400 paintings printed on canvas by art students, applying AI technology from old images and documents; along with 12 antique sewing machines, 5 antique Peugeot bicycles and 2 antique Peugeot motorbikes in the collection of collector Dao Xuan Tinh.
Artifacts associated with daily life contribute to recreating a Hanoi that is both familiar and rich in memories. The display space is followed by a fashion show with 15 creative ao dai collections dedicated to Hanoi.
From September 12 to 19 in the Hau Vien area, the program "Net Kinh Ky" introduces images and documents about 36 streets and wards of Hanoi, and at the same time creates opportunities for the public to explore the vitality of traditional crafts through direct experience.
Along with the exploration of values preserved from life, "One drum - One sound of drum - Thousand years of civilization", taking place from September 14 to 20 at the Hau Vien Nha Thai Hoc, brings the public to a familiar symbol of community culture.
The program includes thematic exhibitions, drum making experiences and drum art performances, thereby introducing from crafting techniques to cultural values associated with drums in festivals and life.
If daytime activities take the public through cultural classes of life, then on the evening of September 12, at Vườn Giám, "Khai Văn" opened up depth about the tradition of Taoism - one of the core values that makes up the special position of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.
