Con Dao welcomes more and more international visitors

Ba Ria - Vung Tau - Con Dao National Park cooperates with units to promote and develop eco-tourism, attracting international visitors.

On February 16, the Con Dao National Park Management Board said that it had just organized a meeting, exchange, sharing, and cooperation with management agencies, travel agencies, accommodation businesses, services, tourism transportation, etc. in the area to develop Con Dao National Park eco-tourism routes in 2025.

The Management Board has introduced key tourism routes focused on in 2025; plans to develop eco-tourism routes at sea and in the forest, focusing on experiential activities such as coral diving, exploring the tropical forest ecosystem, visiting nature reserves and learning about local history and culture.

"The management and exploitation of these tour routes will be associated with the goal of protecting resources and raising public awareness of sustainable tourism. The delegates had a high consensus to develop Con Dao eco-tourism in 2025 and the following years," said Mr. Nguyen Khac Pho - Director of Con Dao National Park Management Board.

According to Con Dao National Park, eco-tourism in Con Dao will have 4 main routes including: marine eco-tourism; marine turtle eco-tourism; forest eco-tourism; combined eco-tourism, with many different routes, activities and tourism products.

Since the beginning of the year, Con Dao National Park has welcomed and served about 3,540 visitors, 50% of whom are international visitors; but there have been more than 2,000 visits to experience eco-tourism services. This shows that tourists are increasingly interested in eco-tourism in Con Dao.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Pho, to develop eco-tourism in Con Dao better in the coming time, there needs to be cooperation between relevant parties, towards sustainable development. The cooperation of local authorities, businesses and people will help effectively implement nature protection work.

Thereby, building the image of Con Dao to become a green, clean, beautiful destination, attracting domestic and international tourists; at the same time, promoting the image and developing eco-tourism and green tourism in Con Dao.

In 2024, Con Dao National Park welcomed and served 47,905 domestic and foreign visitors, including 16,302 international visitors. 9,120 visitors use the eco-tourism service of Con Dao National Park.
