On the evening of December 28, at Dac Loc Industrial Park, Vinh Phuong Commune, Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa), DTNEST Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Joint Stock Company (belonging to D&T Group) held the inauguration ceremony of the D&T Salanganes Nest and Seaweed Factory.
This is a factory combining an experiential tourism model serving visitors and the first space to display typical OCOP products of Khanh Hoa.
Mr. Nguyen Quang Duy - Chairman of the Board of Directors of D&T Group, said - The factory is built on a total area of over 3.2 hectares, with a total investment of nearly 350 billion VND.
Construction started in 2023, and up to now, the project of the bird's nest and seaweed factory has completed phase 2 with the following items: Seaweed and bird's nest processing workshop, renovation and construction of office block, 3 ancient wooden houses and product display areas for tourists to visit and experience; creating green garden landscape, resting area; investing in modern machinery and equipment to meet the export needs of Asian and Eastern European markets...
The factory, once operational, will not only create jobs for many local skilled workers but also restore the ancient crafts of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa by local people. This will also be a destination expected to create a highlight for the development of large-scale circular agricultural tourism in Khanh Hoa.
It is expected that in phase 3, the unit will invest in building a museum block for visitors to experience with an area of 1,800m2 including: Natural bird's nest cave model, exploitation tool display area, preliminary processing technical area, movie theater area, product display area, bird's nest culinary enjoyment area...
On this occasion, D&T Group donated 70 million VND to Nha Trang City People's Committee to build charity houses, donated village gates to Dac Loc villagers (worth 27 million VND) and 1,000 gifts to disadvantaged people and poor patients in Khanh Hoa province.
