On March 22nd in Hanoi, Hanoi Tourism Corporation (Hanoitourist) and Saigon Tourist Corporation (Saigontourist Group) signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation for the period 2026-2030.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ho An Phong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism highly appreciated the cooperation between Hanoi Tourism Corporation and Saigon Tourism Corporation.
According to Deputy Minister Ho An Phong, this is not only a signing ceremony between the two units, but also a political task, regulating the market, creating motivation for development and leading Vietnam's tourism industry, especially in the context of increasingly fierce competition and many world fluctuations.
Orienting in the coming time, Vietnamese tourism needs to shift from quantity growth to quality, focusing on typical, high-value products, associated with culture, environment and national brands. The two tourism "leaders" Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City need to innovate strongly, not only relying on old products but also creating new products and projects of international stature.
According to the Deputy Minister, building linked product packages and connecting services between localities will be an important direction to improve competitiveness and attract international visitors.

Representatives of the two corporations affirmed their determination to strengthen coordination, share resources, information and continue to expand cooperation fields in accordance with development orientations and market needs. The two sides expect to contribute to forming a North-South tourism linkage axis, connecting the two largest tourism centers in the country.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Member Council of Hanoi Tourism Corporation commented: "In the context of Vietnam's tourism industry achieving strong growth and gradually affirming itself as a key economic sector, towards sustainable development, strengthening linkages between large state-owned enterprises is extremely important. The cooperation between the two enterprises is not only a connection of resources, but also a companionship in strategic vision, aiming to improve the quality of products, services and competitiveness of Vietnamese tourism in the new period.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Chairwoman of Saigontourist Group - emphasized: "The signing of cooperation between the two sides is not only a connection between the two businesses, but also has strategic significance in forming a North-South tourism linkage axis, connecting the two major tourist centers of the country, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Through this cooperation, we expect to maximize the strengths, resources and service ecosystems of each party, together build in-depth tourism products, improve service quality, promote digital transformation, innovation and towards sustainable tourism development in the period 2026 - 2030”.
According to the signed content, the two enterprises agreed to establish a flexible, equal, and mutually beneficial cooperation mechanism, focusing on product development, promotion, resource sharing and human resource training. The focus is on coordinating to build new tourism products, combining service ecosystems to create high-value linkage packages suitable for domestic and foreign markets.
The two sides will jointly promote and participate in the event to expand the market, share customer sources; and exchange experiences, train human resources and implement internal incentive policies. Notably, the two sides plan to establish a joint working group immediately after the signing ceremony to develop specific action plans and organize periodic assessments, ensuring that cooperation becomes substantive.
In the context of the tourism industry undergoing strong changes, the signing of cooperation between two large enterprises is not only unique but also reflects the increasingly clear trend of regional linkage and business linkage, creating new momentum for Vietnamese tourism to develop in a professional, modern and sustainable direction.
