According to statistics from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, during the April 30 and 1.5 holidays alone (5 days), visitors to tourist attractions, entertainment areas... are estimated to reach about 1,950,000, an increase of 101.2% over the same period in 2024. International visitors to Ho Chi Minh City are estimated to reach about 120,000, an increase of 122.2% over the same period in 2024.
Accommodation facilities are estimated to have accommodated about 867,000 guests, an increase of 333.5% over the same period in 2024. room occupancy is estimated at about 95%, up 26.7% over the same period in 2024. Revenue is estimated at VND 7,138 billion, up 120.6% over the same period in 2024.
In particular, during the holidays, room occupancy at 1-5-star hotels in the city center reached 95 - 100%. As for the 4-5 star block, many units have no empty rooms during the peak days of April 27 - May 1.
In areas near the center, accommodation facilities also recorded room occupancy of 80% or more. Thanks to reasonable prices, stable service quality, and convenient locations connecting to festival activities, these hotels continue to be a priority choice for tourists. At the peak of April 30 and May 1, the number of guests increased sharply, causing many hotels in this area to be completely fully booked.
Attraction from inner-city tours in Ho Chi Minh City
Many travel businesses in Ho Chi Minh City have recorded a sharp increase in purchasing power for inner-city and short-term tourism programs, about 30% - 35% compared to 2024.
