The 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival is approaching, and preparations in Vietnam are taking place very urgently.
Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice President - General Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Vice President - General Secretary of the National Organizing Committee of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival, has just shared the latest information about this important event, affirming the special attention of the international community.

According to Venerable Thich Duc Thien, up to now, 1,300 international delegates from 85 countries and territories have officially registered to attend the 2025 United Nations Vesak in Vietnam, and all have been granted visas.
The Venerable emphasized that this event is not only an honor for Vietnamese Buddhism but also demonstrates Vietnam's increasingly high position in the international arena. "We continuously update information about the program and are very happy that many heads of state and leaders of international organizations have confirmed their attendance," the Venerable said.
The Venerable also stated that the great success of the recent 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification has created more inspiration and motivation, attracting the attention and desire to Vietnam from international friends.
On the same morning, the National Organizing Committee of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival received information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about the participation of senior leaders of many countries such as Cambodia, Thailand, etc.

Venerable Thich Tam Hai, Deputy Head of the United Nations Vesak Festival 2025 Information and Communications Department, shared more about 7 special main activities that will take place within the framework of the Festival:
The Art Program held at Lang Le Cultural Park (Binh Chanh District) with the participation of domestic and international artists from China, India, Mongolia... promises to bring diverse and unique performances.
For the first time, the exhibition of 87 national treasures of Vietnamese Buddhism to the Ministry of Attic and Buddhists, the public at home and abroad.
The flag-raising ceremony with a 500m flag and a 10m high peace atmosphere will be held, and representatives of participating countries will sign the commemorative name on the atmosphere.
In addition, there is a special Tea program.
The Flower Festival is expected to attract about 12,000 attendees on the evening of June 6 taking place at Lang Le Park, promising a sparkling and meaningful space.
