
On the evening of April 25, at Binh Minh Square, Nghe An province held the opening ceremony of the 2026 Cua Lo Tourism Festival with the theme "Cua Lo - Quintessence of Lam Thuy".
Attending the ceremony were Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, and units directly under the Ministry.
On the side of Military Region 4, there was Major General Doan Xuan Buong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Central Military Commission, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Military Region.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were Mr. Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thai Van Thanh - Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An is a land "green and blue like paintings", converging many historical and cultural values and unique scenic spots.
Not only rich in natural resources, Nghe An is also a cultural cradle with Vi and Giam folk songs - representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity. This is also the homeland of President Ho Chi Minh - the outstanding leader of the nation.

In that overall picture, Cua Lo coastal city emerges as a dynamic bright spot, likened to the "green pearl of Nghe land", with a synchronous infrastructure system, many modern resorts such as Vinpearl Cua Hoi, and large-scale hotels and entertainment areas.
Through the formation and development process, Cua Lo tourism has achieved many important milestones. In 2026, the locality will continue to be honored with the title "ASEAN Clean Tourism Urban" at the ASEAN Tourism Forum.

According to the development orientation, Nghe An identifies tourism as a key economic sector, in which Cua Lo is one of the key tourism centers of the province and the North Central region.
At the program, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded the title "ASEAN Clean Tourism Urban 2026" to Cua Lo, and announced the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List "Mai Bang Temple Festival".


Within the framework of the opening ceremony, the art program was elaborately staged with three chapters, recreating the beauty of Nghe culture, combined with promoting the image of Cua Lo beach being dynamic and friendly.
The opening night closed with an impressive high-altitude fireworks display, opening the exciting sea tourism season of 2026.
