One of the outstanding trekking routes in Binh Lieu district built into a tourism product since 2024 is the journey from Song Mooc village to Khe Tien village (Dong Van commune).

The route is more than 10km long, crossing the salmon forest, cinnamon forest, bamboo forest, natural forest; following streams and terraced fields; passing through the villages of the Tay, Dao, and San Chi people; admiring the rammed houses that are decades old.
Ms. Nguyen My Dung (30 years old, Ha Long City) shared: I have walked and climbed mountains in Fansipan, Hang En, Yen Tu... This is the first time trekking through the forest in Dong Van, Binh Lieu. This type is quite new, requiring both tourists and tour guides to have time and patience.
Along the journey, there are very unique stops - it can be a waterfall, a stream, a village with few people or a person going to the local forest to catch a story.

From April 30, Ms. Dung stayed at Huong Hoi Que homestay (Khe Tien village, Dong Van commune).
Here, visitors will sleep in rammed houses with amenities like a hotel, eat together, live together and experience like a local with the homeowner.
Mr. Duong Phuchim - homestay owner (who often leads groups of tourists through the forest) - said: "In the time of the April 30 and 1.5 holidays this year, the homestay has full rooms. Tourists come not only to explore the Daoism's Kien Gioi culture, but also to conquer mountain peaks such as Cao Ba Lanh and Keo Lan mountain".
From April 30 to May 4, 2025, Dong Van commune will organize a series of cultural - sports - tourism activities such as: Opening and holding a ceremony to receive the National Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Golden Eagle. Traditional art performances, ethnic sports competitions (pushing sticks, pulling, throwing obstacles...).
Mr. Vi Ngoc Nhat - Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Binh Lieu district - said: "As of May 3, the whole district has welcomed more than 10,000 visitors in just 4 days off. In the coming time, we will develop more trekking routes to explore waterfalls and villages, giving visitors the experience of Binh Lieu agriculture
With pristine nature and unique culture, Binh Lieu is becoming an attractive destination, especially for international visitors.
The district aims to welcome 500,000 visitors in 2025, through the development of community tourism and green tourism.
Trekking is not only a journey to explore the landscape but also an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in indigenous life, satisfying their passion for adventure in the border area.
