On November 14, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City chaired and coordinated with Delivering Asa Company to organize the Workshop "Promoting and Promoting Da Nang tourism in the new era - Locating international destinations".
The workshop was attended by more than 300 delegates including city leaders, representatives of departments, branches, localities, Tourism Associations, experts, consultants on tourism, international media, large economic and tourism corporations, airlines, travel companies, accommodation establishments, service providers, and training facilities.
The workshop discussed and discussed topics including world tourism trends in 2026, perspectives on Vietnam and the new city of Da Nang; Some lessons learned from promoting destinations in the region; Current situation and orientation of tourism promotion and advertising in Da Nang; positioning the image of Da Nang destination - Competitive advantages and core values; Communication solutions, promoting Da Nang tourism in the coming time.
The workshop was held to consult, exchange and discuss to present multi-dimensional perspectives, from state management agencies, to tourism corporations, businesses, the community of those working in tourism and communication so that the city has many bases and useful ideas to build strategies and plans to promote and advertise the image of the destination in many years to come.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said that the workshop "Promoting and advertising Da Nang tourism in the new era - positioning international destinations" aims to consult, discuss and discuss to provide multi-dimensional perspectives from state management agencies, corporations, tourism businesses, the community of tourism and media workers; from there, Da Nang City will have more basis and useful ideas to build strategies and plans to promote and advertise the image of destinations in the coming time.
According to Ms. Thi, Da Nang City is currently an authentic tourist destination, rich in potential, a "gateway" - the center of tourist distribution in the whole Central region and a growth pole of national tourism, a "connector" linking tourism development in the North Central region with the South Central Coast and Central Highlands.
After the merger, Da Nang is the city with the longest coastline in the country with more than 200km and is the locality with the most recognized cultural heritages by UNESCO in Vietnam with 3 world cultural heritages: Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Tower Temple and Ngu Hanh Son Tomb.
In addition, the city has a rich and diverse ecosystem with many reserves and national parks, such as Cu Lao Cham World Biosphere Reserve, Son Tra Peninsula...
The city's tourism service facilities are synchronous, large-scale, with many famous brands and international investors with more than 2,200 accommodation facilities (over 64,000 rooms); there are 650 travel businesses, more than 200 historical relics and 200 tourist areas and destinations, creating rich space for tourism development.
