On the morning of November 12, at the seminar "Cooperation and Development of the Russian Charter Market to Da Nang - Summer 2026", Mr. Van Ba Son - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City informed about the preparation to welcome more charter flights from Russia.
This is part of the city's strategy to recover and expand the international tourist market based on destinations combined with businesses.
In the first 10 months of 2025, the city's tourism industry welcomed more than 15.4 million overnight guests, of which international visitors are estimated to reach more than 6.3 million, an increase of more than 25% over the same period in 2024. In particular, the Russian and CIS markets have become prominent bright spots, with more than 325 thousand visits, accounting for 4.85% of the international visitors to Da Nang.

2025 also marks a successful CIS tourist season, when direct flight charter routes from Astana, Almaty (Kazakhstan) and Tashkent (Uzbekistan) are put into operation, with a total frequency of 16 flights/week, contributing to facilitating tourists and boosting growth from this market.
Mr. Son emphasized that to achieve those positive results, in addition to the city's support policies and promotional orientations, along with advantages in beach resort products, quality services and the image of a safe and friendly destination, there is also the active support of tourism businesses in expanding routes, connecting markets and promoting the image of Da Nang.
In particular, in the summer of 2026, ANEX Vietnam Company will open charter flights from CIS countries and actively promote, contributing to bringing Russian and ASEAN tourists to Da Nang.
The city will also promote promotional activities, build tourism products suitable to the needs and preferences of tourists, while improving the quality of services and experiences, aiming for sustainable development and maintaining its position as a leading destination in the Central region of Vietnam.

According to the plan, the Russia - Da Nang charter route will be implemented from April 1 to October 31, 2026, connecting 14 main cities including: Almaty, Astana, Blagoveshchensk, Ekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Novokuznetsk, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok, Samara and Minsk.
The flights will be operated by Azur Air and Vietjet Air, using wide-body aircraft such as Boeing 767, Boeing 777 and Airbus A330, depending on the operator.
It is expected that the operating frequency will reach about 70 trips/month with an average number of 13,000 visitors/month and an accommodation period of 10 nights or more. Thus, Da Nang can welcome about 700 more charter trips in the summer of 2026 with a total expected number of visitors of about 72,000.
