On April 22nd, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that, according to data from Booking.com, the holiday lasting from April 25th to May 3rd, 2026, Da Nang tops the list of domestic destinations most searched by Vietnamese tourists.
Followed by Da Lat, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Hue, Ho Chi Minh City, Phu Quoc, Hanoi, Mui Ne and Hoi An.
This list shows a familiar but still very clear trend, tourists prioritize destinations that can combine resort, entertainment and exploration on the same journey.
In that trend, Da Nang stands out not only because of its leading position, but because this destination brings a feeling of completeness for a vacation. When two major holidays come together, forming a rare long holiday in the year, the journey to Da Nang is no longer limited to a fixed schedule, but opens up more flexible experiences.
According to domestic accommodation search data on the digital tourism platform Agoda, accommodation searches with domestic tourists in Da Nang increased by 89% for the long holiday from late April to early May compared to the same period last year.
Data from Agoda also shows a clear trend during this year's holiday. Tourists prioritize beach destinations to "cool down" in the hot summer weather.
Cities such as Vung Tau, Nha Trang, Phan Thiet and Da Nang are all in the most searched group.
During this holiday, Da Nang city will officially enter the sea tourism season with a series of summer opening activities.
Along with that are cultural programs, festivals and events taking place throughout the city, creating a colorful experience space, interwoven between bustling moments and relaxing moments.
