On February 19 (the 3rd day of Tet), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City coordinated with Da Nang Port Joint Stock Company and Da Nang Port Border Guard Command to welcome the Seabourn Encore cruise ship operated by Tan Hong Tourism Company.
The ship carried more than 1,000 people, including 580 tourists from the UK, France, and the US markets and 500 crew members, docked at Tien Sa Port (Son Tra ward).

Welcoming the international cruise ship delegation, the city brought a bustling festival atmosphere with lion dances, gifts and introduced traditional Tet culture through conical hats and gift boxes of banh chung and banh tet.
During their stay in Da Nang, tourists explore a diverse tourism ecosystem from the Cham Sculpture Museum, Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot to Hoi An ancient town. The combination of heritage values and hospitality continues to affirm Da Nang's position as a destination rich in cultural identity, ready to bring complete experiences to tourists.
In the period from February 16-22, 2026, in addition to the Seabourn Encore ship docking at the port on the 3rd day of Tet, Da Nang also continuously welcomes other international cruise ships.
Specifically, on February 20, 2026 (4th day of Tet), the city welcomed about 2,800 tourists from key European markets such as Italy, France, England and Spain.
By February 22, 2026 (6th day of Tet), the city is expected to continue to welcome about 650 more European tourists to visit and experience typical tourism products.


Mr. Tan Van Vuong - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 recorded positive results in the number of cruise tourists to Da Nang, showing that this segment is recovering and growing well.
In the coming time, the city will continue to promote market promotion, improve the quality of products - services and strengthen links with shipping lines, seaports, and international travel businesses to attract more ship trips and tourists," Mr. Vuong said.
In 2025, cruise tourism activities in Da Nang recorded positive growth from European, American, British, German, Australian and Chinese markets. The city welcomed 47 cruise ships with 57,600 passengers, an increase of 37.1% compared to the same period and an increase of 12 trips.
In 2026, the number of cruise tourists visiting and traveling in the city continues to maintain positive growth momentum. It is expected that Da Nang will welcome 59 ships with more than 64,000 passengers, an increase of about 11% compared to 2025.
Positive signals from the cruise passenger market right from the beginning of 2026 open up sustainable growth prospects for Da Nang tourism, contributing to promoting socio-economic development and towards the city's double-digit growth target in the coming time.
