The challenge of "posterizing" unions
Da Nang is facing a historic opportunity to grow when merging with Quang Nam, becoming the city with the largest area in the country. This opportunity brings a huge increase in the geographical scope and tourism resources with 03 world heritages and strengths in sea and island tourism, spiritual culture and mountain and forest resorts, creating a new tourism ecosystem, bringing great development opportunities.
However, this golden opportunity also comes with countless challenges. According to experts, the biggest challenge lies in positioning the brand as "new Da Nang". If we cannot build a sharp and unified brand strategy, the inherent values, even though they are rich, can eliminate each other, losing the core attractiveness of Da Nang tourism.

In particular, to match the new position after the merger, Da Nang needs a new attractive force, an international symbol, creating a momentum to elevate the entire tourism ecosystem.
Mr. Cao Tri Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Tourism Association, commented: "Da Nang in the new era will need more motivational projects. We need iconic projects with images that can be used as media, reaching the source of visitors soon to build the image of Da Nang... more modern, more dynamic, greater resources, more unique tourism products".
In addition, the position of the largest city in the country also requires Da Nang to solve the inherent bottleneck: Night-time economy. Although Da Nang tourism has grown strongly, night-time entertainment services are still limited, not commensurate with the position of an international tourism center. International tourists, especially high-end resort tourists, are still lacking large-scale, high-class and all-night "all-in-one" nighttainment addresses.

In that context, Da Nang Downtown - a super complex of culture, entertainment and commercial services invested by Sun Group and recently started construction is expected to be one of the "keys" to the problem of brand repositioning and promoting night tourism in Da Nang.
