Da Nang puts Quang noodles on stage to promote intangible cultural heritage

Da Nang - Quang noodle intangible cultural heritage is brought to the stage, bringing a new experience to tourists.

From a familiar dish of Central Vietnamese people, Quang noodles are brought to the The Heritage Show stage (in Hoi An) in contemporary art language, combining music, lighting, dance and interactive experiences, bringing the audience a new approach to cultural heritage.

Inspired by images of Quang noodle stalls, ancient markets and the simple rhythm of life in Quang land, the program recreates the traditional living space right on stage. Audiences not only watch performances but are also invited to experience, sit and enjoy Quang noodles in the performance space and immerse themselves in the Hoi An cultural story.

The special feature of the program is that the actors directly perform many cooking steps. From making rice paper, cutting noodles to completing and serving each bowl of noodles, all become part of the performance. Audiences also have the opportunity to experience some noodle making steps under the guidance of artisans, thereby understanding more about the value of the traditional craft.

Not only introducing a dish, The Heritage Show also tells a story about the land, people and culture of Central Vietnam through the flavor of Quang noodles. Familiar ingredients such as rice, shrimp, meat, raw vegetables, grilled rice paper and traditional processing methods contribute to recreating the rustic and closeness of Quang land's life.

The combination of traditional elements with modern stage technology creates a multi-sensory experience, helping audiences both enjoy art and directly participate in the journey to discover heritage. Through this, the program contributes to renewing the way of introducing indigenous culture, bringing traditional values closer to the public and tourists.

The Heritage Show is not only an art performance program but also a cultural experience space, where the story of Quang noodles becomes a bridge to promote Hoi An and Central Vietnam's identity in creative and lively forms.
