The workshop attracted nearly 100 domestic and foreign delegates, including leaders of the Da Nang People's Committee, leaders of the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, and the direct participation of ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic agencies, and localities that have established and will establish friendly and cooperative relations with Da Nang.
Here, representatives of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism made proposals on promoting digital transformation in the tourism industry, developing smart tourism and strengthening links between cities and businesses in international cooperation.
Within the framework of the workshop, international representatives including Mr. Tom Tate, Mayor of Gold Coast City (Australia), Mr. Watanabe Yoshikuni, Mayor of Kisarazu City (Japan), and representatives from Wuxi and Yancheng cities (Jiangsu, China), shared information on the tourism potential of the cities, and discussed new directions in promoting tourism cooperation between Da Nang and international partners.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong - Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee emphasized that through international cooperation, the locality has the opportunity to expand investment, develop unique tourism products, improve service quality and enhance the experience for tourists. This cooperative relationship will also contribute to enhancing the international integration capacity of the tourism industry, promoting cultural exchange, creating opportunities for exchange and learning and developing sustainable relationships.
The most important thing in international cooperation as well as sustainable tourism development is the community factor. The people are the ones who will join hands to build tourism products but also act as tour guides to introduce the good things of the destination to tourists faster and more authentically. From the awareness of the people in protecting the environment, preserving the landscape will also help tourists feel more about the attractiveness of the destination as well as join hands to preserve the destination.
