On March 20, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center has coordinated with the Traffic Police Department - Da Nang City Police to organize a traffic safety knowledge training class for Da Nang Tourist Cyclo Team members in 2026, with the participation of all team members.
The program aims to supplement and update knowledge about traffic safety, raise awareness of law compliance, and equip more necessary skills in the process of serving tourists. At the training class, team members are disseminated regulations related to road traffic, exchange practical experiences when participating in traffic, contributing to ensuring safety for themselves, tourists and the community.
According to the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, for many years, tourist cyclos have become a typical tourism product of the city, bringing tourists close experiences when exploring culture, life and urban landscapes. Each cyclo team member not only performs the task of transportation but also contributes to introducing and promoting the image of friendly and hospitable Da Nang to domestic and international tourists.
In addition to the traffic safety training class, in March 2026, the Center plans to organize an additional communication English training class to improve the ability to support and serve international tourists for tourist cyclo teams.
Along with that, the promotion of Da Nang cyclo tours is also being promoted on digital platforms and online travel service booking applications such as Klook, KKday, GetYourGuide, Trip... At the same time, an automated tour guide system integrated with artificial intelligence (Auto Guide) is also being implemented to bring new experiences to tourists.
Da Nang Cyclo Tour Team was established in 2003 and currently has 83 members managed by the City Tourism Promotion Center. In 2026, the Center will deploy 3 new tourism product packages with the message "Touch" Da Nang through the cyclo journey, combining sightseeing, cultural learning and a multilingual automatic presentation system.
Improving the quality of training and services is expected to contribute to building the image of a professional and civilized cyclo service team, while promoting the image of a friendly, modern and sustainable Da Nang destination.
