On the afternoon of March 31, Da Nang held a press conference to open the 2025 Asian Golf Tourism Festival. This Congress is expected to have 450 delegates from more than 33 countries and territories, including experts, golf course operators and golf travel agencies, and official members of the World Golf Tourism Association.
According to the leader of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, Da Nang's hosting of the Asian Golf Tourism Festival for the second time is not only an honor, but also a valuable opportunity to introduce to international friends a dynamic and modern coastal city.
At the press conference, Mr. Peter Walton, President of the World Golf Tourism Association, also said that AGTC 2025 will create great values for Da Nang destinations this week.
First, 168 travel companies specializing in golf tourism will have the opportunity to experience resorts and golf courses here, many of them coming to Da Nang for the first time. Second, more than 4,500 meetings have been scheduled between international travel companies and golf tourism service providers. These meetings will create increased revenue for golf destinations in Asia, Vietnam and especially Da Nang.
Third, by inviting leading travel companies from 33 countries and territories here, we can expand the market, helping Da Nang's golf tourism industry no longer depend too much on one or two source markets," said Mr. Peter Walton.
According to Peter Walton, within the framework of the reception, the World Golf Tourism Association will announce the World Golf Tourism Award, honoring golf courses and excellent destinations voted by international golf travelers. In particular, Da Nang will be awarded the title "Da Nang - Outstanding Contribution to Golf Tourism" (Dedication to Golf Tourism for Golf Destination Danang), acknowledging outstanding contributions to the development of golf tourism.
