Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said that the organization of a series of major events to welcome the new year and many attractive stimulus programs along with favorable weather contributed to attracting a sharp increase in the number of tourists to Da Nang during the 2026 New Year holiday.

Accordingly, the total number of visitors and tourists is estimated at 630,000, an increase of more than 25% compared to the same period in 2025; of which international visitors reached 345,000, an increase of 23% compared to the same period; domestic visitors reached 285,000, an increase of 29% compared to the same period. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 2,445 billion VND, an increase of more than 30% compared to the same period in 2025.
The city's average room occupancy rate is estimated at about 70% (an increase of more than 10% compared to the same period in 2025). In which, the occupancy rate of 4-5 star and equivalent hotels is estimated at 80%, some 4-5 star hotels in coastal areas and key tourist areas reach over 90%; mainly international visitors account for 70-80%, including major markets such as Korea, China, Taiwan (China), India, Japan, USA, France, UK, Australia, Thailand...
The occupancy rate of tourist accommodation establishments from 3 stars and below is estimated to reach 50-60%, the main target audience is still domestic tourists, and international tourists account for about 20-30%.
The total number of international and domestic flights to Da Nang is estimated at 908 flights (an average of 151 flights per day, with 83 domestic flights and 68 international flights), an increase of 24.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
Of which, it is estimated to reach 495 domestic flights, an increase of 26.9% compared to the same period in 2025 and 413 international flights, an increase of 21.8% compared to the same period in 2025.
