On September 14, Mui Ne ward, Lam Dong province coordinated with armed forces units stationed in the area to organize the program " exchanging plastic waste for green trees", attracting a large number of people to participate.

The unique highlight of the program is the form of bringing 6 bottles, plastic bottles or cans in exchange for a pot of bougainvillea. colorful bougainvillea pots are carried back by coastal people.

Ms. Tran Ngoc Bich - a resident of Mui Ne - said that flower pots are not only a gift from changing plastic waste but also carry a profound message about the responsibility to protect the environment and reduce plastic waste. Each local resident will be more aware of protecting the marine environment and not throwing plastic waste into the sea.
Mui Ne is a famous tourist destination with blue sea, white sand, and golden sunshine. However, along with the increasing number of tourists, plastic waste has also become a worrying issue.

The activity of "turning plastic waste into flowers" is considered a creative way of doing things, contributing to forming good habits in the community, both preserving the beautiful and clean sea landscape and increasing green space for the marine tourism area.
At the program, Mui Ne ward also organized an environmental sanitation campaign, responding to the movement "Saturday for a bright, green, clean, beautiful environment" on the coast of Lang Chai. Union members, soldiers and people together collect garbage, creating a greener, cleaner and more friendly appearance for this famous tourist destination.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Phuc - Chairman of the Mui Ne Ward Trade Union - said that the organizing campaigns for marine environmental sanitation have always been supported by union members and workers in tourist areas in the area.
In addition to managing union activities, the Ward Union also strengthens propaganda for union members at grassroots unions to maintain environmental hygiene and limit plastic waste.
