The Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board said that the Him Lam Resistance Center Relic (Dien Bien Phu ward) will officially open to visitors from April 28.
Specifically, the relic is open all days of the week, for spring-summer (September 3rd), mornings from 7am to 11am, afternoons from 1:30pm to 6pm. For autumn-winter (October to February of the following year), mornings from 7:00am to 11:00am, afternoons from 1:30pm to 5:30pm.
The Dien Bien Provincial Relic Management Board said that the unit has proactively arranged personnel, deployed synchronous solutions to receive, manage, and operate, ensuring the effective promotion of the historical and cultural values of the relic.
About 3 km northeast of the center of Dien Bien province, Him Lam relic has a total area of 136,900m2. This is the place marking the opening battle of the historic Dien Bien Phu campaign on March 13, 1954.
Previously (March 8), Dien Bien province inaugurated the conservation and restoration project of Him Lam Resistance Center Area (phase II), with a total investment of 91 billion VND.
The construction focuses on two main items: a 45m long relief, 425m2 area, made of natural stone; incense offering house designed in a hexagonal shape.
