On April 21, representatives of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park said that along with developing tourism services to meet the increasing needs of tourists, the unit always focuses on preserving and promoting the cultural and historical values of relics, associated with sightseeing and learning activities.
Located in the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park complex, not only converges outstanding global values in geology, geomorphology and biodiversity, this heritage area also preserves many unique historical and cultural imprints. This is a place that marks the heroic feats of our army and people in the cause of national defense, becoming "red addresses" with profound traditional education significance.
Prominent in the heart of the heritage is the system of historical relics on Route 20 - Quyet Thang with many "fire coordinates" such as Ca Roong - ATP key point, Tra Ang key point, Temple of Remembrance for Heroic Martyrs of Route 20 - Quyet Thang and Tam Thanh Nien xung phong cave. In addition, there are other typical landmarks such as Y Ta Cave, Xuan Son ferry wharf, Nguyen Van Troi ferry wharf, Phong Nha cave, Ba Thang slope... Each relic is associated with stories about the fighting, courageous labor, and creativity of Truong Son soldiers, youth volunteers and forces in the anti-American resistance war.
Not only stopping at historical value, tourism exploitation associated with traditional education is also being focused on. Typically, the "Truong Son Legendary Road - Command Cave" eco-tourism area at Km12, Road 20 - Quyet Thang. Here, visitors can visit exhibition spaces of artifacts, historical models, watch war documentaries and experience VR360 virtual reality technology recreating the Truong Son road and Ho Chi Minh trail.
According to Mr. Truong Thanh Khai - Deputy Director of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park Management Board, historical relics in the heritage area are not only relics of a glorious time but also a precious resource for sustainable tourism development. The work of preserving and promoting the value of relics is always focused on by the unit, associated with the needs of visitors to visit and learn.
In the coming time, the Management Board will continue to effectively implement the project on developing ecotourism, resorts, and entertainment in the period 2021 - 2030; and at the same time research and develop new tourism products, focusing on community tourism, history and culture to diversify experiences and enhance the attractiveness of destinations.
Historical and cultural relics in Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park today are not only places to commemorate and express gratitude to previous generations but also become spiritual destinations rich in spiritual values, attracting a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to strongly spreading patriotism to today's and future generations.
