This is an issue raised at the International Conference with the theme "Ninh Binh - a strategic destination for high-end tourism, cinema and weddings" held on the afternoon of November 18 at Tam Chuc National Tourist Area (Tam Chuc Ward, Ninh Binh Province).
The event was organized by Ninh Binh Department of Tourism in coordination with Xuan Truong enterprise and Indian partners, aiming to expand new cooperation opportunities between the locality and the film industry and event and wedding services that are developing strongly in Asia.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong emphasized that Vietnam possesses a rich natural landscape system, stretching from mountainous forests, rivers to plains, along with a long-standing culture and history.
This is a valuable source of documents for developing tourism combined with cinema - a field with strong influence, a synthesis of image, music, fashion and storytelling art.
When the Vietnamese setting is combined with the film production skills of major cinemas such as India, works will be formed that are both rich in artistic value and create effective promotional effects for the destination.
The Deputy Minister said that in the coming time, many film crews from the US, India and other international markets will come to Vietnam to survey the setting, including Ninh Binh.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Song Tung - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee - said that the province identifies tourism and cultural industry as the main economic sectors, in which heritage and human creativity play a central role.
In the coming time, Ninh Binh province will continue to improve tourism space planning, creating favorable conditions for film studios, investors, and international enterprises to survey, cooperate, and promote the image of Ninh Binh through art and communication; at the same time, building an open investment environment, accompanying businesses to develop creative, green, and sustainable tourism products.
We believe that the connection between tourism - cinema - high-end weddings will open up a new direction full of potential, contributing to enhancing heritage values, increasing the experience for tourists, creating momentum for local economic and cultural development, said Mr. Tran Song Tung.
At the conference, Indian film directors and producers highly appreciated the cooperation environment of Vietnam in general and Ninh Binh in particular.
Mr. Rahul Bali, producer of Love in Vietnam - the first film to cooperate between Vietnam and India - expressed his belief that with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and local authorities, many Indian film projects can be implemented in Vietnam.
