On January 15, the Government issued Resolution No. 11/NQ-CP on visa exemption under the Tourism Development Stimulus Program for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic and Switzerland.
Accordingly, from March 1 to December 31, 2025, tourists from the above 3 countries to Vietnam are exempt from visas.
Temporary residence period is 45 days from the date of entry for tourism purposes according to the program organized by Vietnamese international travel service businesses.
Regardless of passport type, on the basis of meeting all entry requirements as prescribed by Vietnamese law.
Previously, according to Resolution 128/NQ-CP, Vietnam officially exempted visas for a temporary stay of 45 days for citizens of 13 countries: South Korea, Japan, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Belarus. Regardless of passport type or purpose of entry.
From August 15, 2023, Vietnam will issue electronic visas (e-visas) to citizens of all countries and territories.
13 air ports allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visas including: Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Cam Ranh, Da Nang, Cat Bi, Can Tho, Phu Quoc, Phu Bai, Van Don, Tho Xuan, Dong Hoi, Phu Cat, Lien Khuong.
16 land border gates allow foreigners to enter and exit with e-visas, including: Tay Trang (Dien Bien), Mong Cai (Quang Ninh), Huu Nghi (Lang Son), Lao Cai, Na Meo (Thanh Hoa), Nam Can (Nghe An), Cau Treo (Ha Tinh), Cha Lo (Quang Binh), La Lay and Lao Bao (Quang Tri), Bo Y (Kon Tum), Moc Bai and Xa Mat (Tay Ninh), Tinh Bien and Vinh Xuong (An Giang) and Ha Tien (Kien Giang).
13 sea border gates applying e-visa include: Hon Gai and Cam Pha (Quang Ninh), Hai Phong, Nghi Son (Thanh Hoa), Vung Ang (Ha Tinh), Chan May (Hue), Da Nang, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh), Dung Quat (Quang Ngai), Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), Ho Chi Minh City and Duong Dong (Kien Giang).
In 2025, Vietnam's tourism industry strives to welcome and serve 22-23 million international tourists; 120-130 million domestic tourists. Total revenue from tourists will reach about 980-1,050 trillion VND.
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the tourism industry is facing historic opportunities stemming from the interest of the entire political system and society in the driving role of tourism in the economy; the international tourist market still has much room for growth in the context of favorable policies on visas and immigration.
