Accordingly, Phieng Loi village is located in the north of Dien Bien Phu ward, about 6km from the ward center, the village was formed in 1956, located along the historic Nam Rom river.
The village has a total natural area of about 114 hectares, relatively flat terrain, favorable for the development of agricultural production and community tourism.

According to the people's explanation, "ping" is a flat location, "Loi" is a misspelling of the word "long", expressing the desire for a stable, long-term life of the villagers.
Phieng Loi village currently has 68 households, 100% of whom are Thai ethnic people, a long-time resident of Thai Den. People mainly produce traditional agriculture such as growing rice, crops and maintaining handicrafts such as embroidery, brocade weaving, and weaving.
Community tourism activities in Phieng Loi village have been around since 2020. However, the services are still quite modest and not commensurate with the inherent potential.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Secretary of Dien Bien Phu Ward said that this marked a turning point in developing community tourism in the ward, thereby contributing to building tourism into a spearhead economic sector.
According to Mr. Hung, after the announcement and opening ceremony, the ward will continue to put into operation the "Dien Bien Phu Ward Food Area, Night-Trip Economic Walking Street" and complete the community tourism infrastructure system in Phieng Loi, Ke Nenh.
