According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, the period from October to October every year is considered the beautiful cloud hunting season in Dien Bien. At this time, the difference in temperature between day and night and high humidity create dense, floating seas of clouds.
The most famous of the "cloud hunting map" in Dien Bien is Tang Quai Pass (Muong Ang commune). About 35km from the center of Dien Bien province, Tang Quai Pass has long been an ideal destination for motorbike taxi drivers and backpackers.

Especially on weekends, the top of the pass is always bustling with people and tourists stopping to admire and capture impressive moments.
Ms. Lo Thiem (Bung Lao commune) said that to see the most beautiful clouds, you have to wake up very early. Although the morning air in the highlands is quite cold, in return, the feeling of seeing the sea of white clouds makes everyone very excited.
Recently, the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Dien Bien province in coordination with Muong Ang commune organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the Muong Ang spiritual and cultural area (built at Tang Quai Pass), with a total investment of more than 117 billion VND.
This spiritual and cultural area is expected to exploit the existing potential and advantages of the locality to promote tourism development in the province.

In Dien Bien Phu ward, just about 10 minutes away from the center, visitors have an ideal cloud hunting location called Ke Nenh.
Talking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen Sy Trong (Dien Bien Phu ward) said that he is a person who loves beautiful natural scenery. On weekends, he usually spends time from 5:30 am to 7:00 am to go to Ke Nenh to experience.

"When the center of the ward is still covered in cold fog, above Ke Nenh, you will see a sea of clouds. The floating clouds, combined with the dawn light, create an extremely beautiful scene" - Mr. Trong said.
According to Mr. Trong, the most complete feeling is on a cold morning, enjoying a cup of hot coffee, and watching the "manhole" of the magical Dien Bien. At that time, you will feel the majestic beauty of this land.

According to photographers in Dien Bien, the cloud hunting season usually lasts from October to January of the following year. However, the "golden" time is November-December, almost every day at high points, the sea of clouds appear densely.
In addition to Tang Quai and Ke Nenh passes, Dien Bien also owns a series of other "cloud hunting conditions" such as: Tua Chua, Muong Lay, Muong Nhe, Pha Din pass or Keo Lom pass... Each location has its own beauty, contributing to creating an irresistible attraction for Dien Bien tourism.
