On the morning of the 5th day of Tet, at the Dien Bien Phu Victory Monument ceremony yard, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized a sports exchange competition "Celebrating the Party, celebrating the Binh Ngo Spring 2026".
The program attracted over 250 athletes from cultural villages, hamlets, communes, wards and departments and branches in the province to participate. Athletes competed in 6 ethnic sports: cracking banh giay, throwing pa pao, tung con, Chinese chess, to má lẹ and tug-of-war.



In addition to the competition content, the program also organizes 6 sports activities for fun and experience such as: To sang (Thai cu), tu lu (Mong cu), tung con giao duyen, dang yen (chicken feather bridge), to phai (Thai chess) and shooting bow to the target.
Also on the morning of the 5th day of Tet, Dien Bien Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the Binh Ngo Spring Festival 2026 exchange at Muong Thanh Market pedestrian street.
Mr. Luong Van Thoa (Muong Phang commune, Dien Bien) said: "The Spring Festival is an opportunity for families and relatives to travel in spring, meet each other after a year of work, and also a way for young generations to look at and preserve the identity and traditional games of the nation.
According to the Dien Bien Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the series of unique cultural, artistic and sports activities not only meets the spiritual cultural enjoyment needs of the people during Tet, but is also a connecting thread, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc of ethnic groups in the area.


Along with festival activities, ecological and historical tourist attractions in Dien Bien also welcomed an increased number of visitors.
At the tourist market on the top of Pha Din pass (Quei To commune, Dien Bien), the number of visitors coming for spring travel is large right from the first days of the year. This historic pass peak is especially favored by nature with majestic mountain and forest landscapes, cool weather all year round and flowers blooming all year round.

The Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum also welcomes many visitors to visit and learn about history. In order to meet the needs of people and tourists, the Museum has opened to serve throughout the Lunar New Year holiday (except for the 1st day of Tet).
