On February 19th (3rd day of Lunar New Year), a large number of tourists continued to move to the Vung Tau area to have fun in the first days of the new year.
Welcoming a large number of visitors, many routes such as Thuy Van, Hoang Hoa Tham, Quang Trung, Tran Phu... are congested during peak hours; or lined up to wait for quite a long time at intersections when there is a red light. In the afternoon, Bai Sau area is packed with tourists playing and swimming.
Many accommodation establishments also said they were fully booked on the 3rd day of Tet, concentrated in coastal hotels and guesthouses. For example, 3-4 star accommodation establishments such as Ibis Styles Hotel, Mercure VungTau Resort... were fully booked from the 2nd to the 4th day of Tet.
Many 5-star establishments in the area also said they were fully booked. In Malibu Vung Tau, on the 2nd day of Tet, the room occupancy rate was quite high, over 90%, and it was also fully booked on the 3rd and 4th days of Tet.
According to the Vung Tau Ward Public Service Supply Center, on the 3rd day of Lunar New Year, the locality welcomed more than 39,000 tourist arrivals, an increase of more than 6,000 arrivals compared to the 2nd day of Tet. Welcoming a large number of visitors, the forces still ensured security and order, environmental sanitation and safety for spring tourists.
There were 4 cases of tourists entering a whirlpool who were rescued in time and brought ashore safely; receiving and returning 10 stray children to their families; returning valuable assets to tourists who dropped them,... contributing to building the image of Vung Tau tourism "Safe - Friendly - Civilized".
