According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the area from Quang Tri to Phu Yen will have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall from 70-150mm, locally over 250mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (>100mm/6 hours).
In addition, from the night of November 22-23, in Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Khanh Hoa, there will be rain, showers, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, locally over 60mm. From the afternoon of November 24, heavy rain will gradually decrease.
There is a possibility of a flood on rivers from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai. During this flood, the peak water level on rivers is at level BD1 and above BD1, especially rivers in Thua Thien Hue are at level BD1-BD2, some rivers are above BD2. There is a high risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in mountainous areas from Thua Thien Hue to Quang Ngai.
Around November 26-27, a cold spell of quite strong intensity may arrive. Due to the influence of cold air, the temperature in the northern provinces will decrease by about 7-8 degrees Celsius compared to the previous days. People and tourists need to prepare warm clothes to ensure their health.
November 27-28 could be the coldest period in this cold air mass with the lowest temperature in the plains around 18-20 degrees Celsius, and in mountainous areas below 18 degrees Celsius.
