Around early morning and on October 1, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the North Central region, some places in the Northwest and the Central Central region. The wind will change to the Northeast at level 3 inland, level 4-5 in coastal areas.
The Northern region and Thanh Hoa have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with common rainfall of 30-90mm, locally over 180mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
During this cold spell, the weather in the North and North Central regions will be cool; cold at night and early morning, especially in the mountainous areas of the North. The lowest temperature in the North and Thanh Hoa is generally from 19-22 degrees, in mountainous areas 17-19 degrees, in high mountainous areas below 16 degrees in some places; in Nghe An-Ha Tinh, the lowest temperature is generally from 20-23 degrees.
The areas of Lai Chau, Ha Giang, Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen provinces continue to have rain with the following common amounts: Ha Giang from 50-100mm, some places over 180mm; Thai Nguyen from 20-50mm, some places over 80mm; Lai Chau and Bac Kan from 10-30mm, some places over 60mm.
