MINH ANH |

Weather Forecast for tomorrow, September 13, the Red River flood is gradually receding, the North has intermittent sunshine; the South is entering a prolonged period of rain.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, many areas in the North have begun to experience intermittent sunshine. Thunderstorms and localized heavy rain in the Central region are likely to last for many days to come.

From tomorrow, September 13, the Central Highlands and the South will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 40-80mm, locally over 120mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and night).

Floods on the Red River (Hanoi) peaked at 11.30m at 2am on September 12, 0.20m below level 3 and are receding. Floods on the Red River in Hanoi will slowly recede below level 2 and above level 1.

Meanwhile, floods on Cau River (Bac Ninh) and Thuong River (Bac Giang) are still fluctuating at level 3. Floods on Thai Binh River (Hai Duong City) and Hoang Long River (Ninh Binh) are rising slowly.

Rising flood water levels cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, alluvial areas outside the main dike, causing the riverbank dykes to overflow, and landslides of dykes and embankments that can seriously affect vulnerable locations along rivers in the following provinces/cities: Hanoi, Ha Nam, Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Ninh Binh.

Residents and tourists should be on guard against possible flooding in low-lying areas and riverside areas in the provinces of Bac Giang, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, and Hai Duong; flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in the mountainous areas of the North.
