According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tomorrow (December 15), cold air will continue to strengthen and affect places in the South Central region. Northeast wind inland will be strong at level 3, coastal areas at level 4-5.
From now until tomorrow night, the North and Thanh Hoa will experience severe cold, with mountainous areas experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell will generally be 10-13 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas 7-10 degrees Celsius, and in high mountainous areas below 5 degrees Celsius.
Dien Bien area and from Nghe An to Quang Binh are cold, some places are very cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is generally from 12-15 degrees Celsius, in Dien Bien area some places are below 11 degrees Celsius.
Hanoi area is very cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 10-13 degrees Celsius.
Due to the influence of cold air combined with disturbances in the upper East wind zone, from now until the night of December 15, in the area from Quang Tri to Khanh Hoa, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain and thunderstorms with coastal rainfall from 40-100mm, locally over 200mm. Warning of the risk of local heavy rain (>100mm/6 hours).
Tomorrow, in the Ha Tinh-Quang Binh, Ninh Thuan-Binh Thuan, Central Highlands and Southern regions, there will be rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places, locally heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30mm, locally over 60mm.
From December 16, heavy rains in the Central region will decrease. Residents and tourists should be on guard during thunderstorms with the possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.
