This afternoon, the tropical depression in the sea northwest of Truong Sa archipelago has strengthened into a storm. This is storm number 10 of 2024, with the international name Pabuk.
Tomorrow afternoon, the center of the storm will be at about 11.4 degrees North latitude; 111.2 degrees East longitude, in the southwest sea area of the Central East Sea. The strongest wind near the center of the storm is level 8 (62-74km/h), gusting to level 9; moving in the West Northwest direction, speed about 5-10km/h.
From the afternoon of December 25, the storm gradually weakened into a tropical depression, then into a low pressure area. The storm will affect the northern sea of the South China Sea (including the northern area of Truong Sa archipelago) and the southwestern sea of the Central China Sea.
