Weather forecast for tomorrow, September 6, storm No. 3 will cause heavy rain in the North and Central regions for the next several days; beware of severe damage.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns that tomorrow night, September 6-7, storm No. 3 is forecast to make landfall in the northern and north central provinces. The northeastern region and Thanh Hoa will have heavy to very heavy rain with common rainfall of 100-200mm, in some places over 350mm.

From September 7-10, a flood occurred on rivers and streams in the Northern region and Thanh Hoa. Warning of widespread flooding risk in mountainous provinces, the Northern midland plains, urban areas, especially in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Bac Can, Thai Nguyen.

The Northwest region, Nghe An and Ha Tinh have moderate rain, heavy rain, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-70mm, locally over 150mm. The area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan has scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 50mm (rain concentrated in the late afternoon and evening). During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind.

The Central Highlands and the South have rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall from 20-40mm, locally over 80mm (rain concentrated in the afternoon and evening).

According to the meteorological agency, at 7:00 p.m. on September 5, the center of the storm was located at approximately 19.3 degrees North latitude; 114.3 degrees East longitude, approximately 365 km from Hainan Island. The strongest wind was level 16 (184-201 km/h), gusting to level 17. It is forecasted that in the next 3 hours, the storm will move in a West-Northwest direction at a speed of approximately 15 km/h.

Residents and visitors need to follow recommendations from local authorities to ensure safety.

Northeast

Lowest temperature from: 26-29 degrees Celsius, mountainous areas have places below 25 degrees Celsius.

Highest temperature from: 33-36 degrees Celsius.

Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the late afternoon and evening, intermittent sunshine during the day, and some places with heat. North to Northwest wind level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

Da Nang to Binh Thuan

Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms at night, sunny during the day, some places will be hot; tonight and tomorrow evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, some places will have heavy rain. West to southwest wind level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

Central Highlands

Highest temperature from: 26-29 degrees Celsius, some places above 29 degrees Celsius.

Cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rain, moderate rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, and locally heavy to very heavy rain. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. Thunderstorms are likely to produce tornadoes, lightning, and strong gusts of wind.

Southern Vietnam

Highest temperature from: 29-32 degrees Celsius.
