Although there is still 1 day until the Da Nang Food Tour 2026 program officially opens, however, from the afternoon of May 20, when the booths just opened to welcome guests, many people and tourists flocked to the Bien Dong Park area to enjoy cuisine by the Da Nang beach.
Right from the early afternoon, the atmosphere at the festival became bustling with hundreds of food stalls stretching along the My Khe coastal area.
Many tourists are excited to stop to experience local specialties, check-in areas, food processing performances and decoration spaces with the theme of Da Nang beach also attract many visitors and photographers.
Ms. Nguyen Thao Vy, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said that this is the first time she has participated in Da Nang Food Tour and is impressed with the festival atmosphere.
I have been to many food festivals, but I like the space here because it is organized close to the beach, so it is very airy and pleasant. The food is quite diverse, from local to international dishes are all available. In the afternoon, coming here to eat and watch the sea is very relaxing," Ms. Vy shared.
Not only domestic tourists, many international visitors are also excited to experience the culinary space by the Da Nang beach.
Mr. Michael Brown, a tourist from Australia, said that he especially loves Vietnamese street food and spends a lot of time exploring the booths at the festival.
I tried Quang noodles and Banh Xeo. The flavor is very special and different from the dishes I have eaten before. I like the way people cook directly at the booth, the atmosphere is very lively and friendly," said Michael.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of Da Nang Department of Tourism, Da Nang Food Tour 2026 is the second year the city has organized it with increased scale and quality.
To best prepare for this event, especially in the context of the peak summer with a series of festivals taking place continuously, the city's tourism industry prioritizes ensuring security and order, environmental sanitation and food safety and hygiene.
The city also focuses on closely coordinating with tourism service businesses to optimize the experience for tourists, from arranging convenient travel spaces to seating areas at the main stage, to ensure a complete and safe space for enjoying cuisine and culture," Ms. An said.
Da Nang Food Tour 2026 takes place from May 20 to 24 with a series of culinary experiences, art performances, cultural parades and spaces to promote local specialties.
The event is expected to continue to create highlights for summer tourism, and at the same time promote the image of Da Nang as an attractive festival and culinary destination in the region.
